The BGMI 3.3 update introduces the exciting Ocean Odyssey theme mode, offering players a fresh and immersive underwater adventure. This new mode features unique map areas, thrilling themed items, and innovative gameplay mechanics. Key locations like the Ocean Palace and Forsaken Ruins are designed to provide intense battles and valuable rewards in every match.
Ocean Palace
Situated underwater beneath a colossal statue, the Ocean Palace is a treasure trove of supplies and powerful items in the BGMI 3.3 update. This area, located in the Ruins and the river under Mylta, includes a unique trident weapon that players can retrieve after a countdown. To reach the Ocean Palace quickly, players should parachute directly to the ocean surface and submerge upon entering the water.
The Sea Suppressor's barrier creates an air pocket for movement within the palace, but players must evacuate swiftly once the Kraken destroys the Sea Suppressor. Additionally, hidden crates around the Ocean Palace offer surprises, and players benefit from special respawn rules, allowing them to quickly return to the battleground after elimination.
Forsaken Ruins in Ocean Odyssey theme mode
The Forsaken Ruins are home to two Ocean Temples and the Sea Treasury, which contains valuable treasures. Players can access these temples by finding switches to remove the water veils sealing the entryways.
Lighting all the pillars at the Sea Treasury's entrance opens it and grants access to its riches, with a portal teleporting players into the sky within the Playzone for strategic jumps to any location.
The Forsaken Ruins also feature blasting currents and a Mirage Tower to aid navigation, and a whale occasionally leaps through the sky, leaving behind a water orb that players can use to ride the Whale Escape Pod.
New themed items and vehicles in the BGMI 3.3 update
The update introduces several new special items that enhance the Ocean Odyssey theme mode. The Trident, found in the Ocean Palace, offers a unique swimming animation and the ability to transform into a Waterspout, sucking in nearby players and increasing underwater speed.
The Water Orb Grenade and Water Orb Blaster provide strategic advantages by creating water orbs that reduce enemy speed and allow quick movement. The Whale Escape Pod facilitates team relocation to the Playzone. Additionally, the Stingray, a new two-seater vehicle, can travel through underwater areas and fly in midair, allowing passengers to fire while in flight and trap enemies with bubbles.
