On May 19, 2023, BGMI star Raj "Snax" Varma live streamed Valorant and GTA V roleplay (in the SOULCITY server) on his YouTube channel. He grabbed the opportunity to state how he will try to improve his Battlegrounds Mobile India gameplay. He also announced that he will refrain from joining any BGMI esports organization in the current state.

His sprays aren't perfect, his bursts aren't perfect. It takes time to get back that level of gameplay. Snax has a huge fan following in the BGMI gaming community which was evident from the large number of viewers who flocked to his stream last night. His recent comments have provided them hope that although he will take time to return to esports, he will eventually be back.

"If I start looking for teams and start playing with them now, I will badly perform. It's because I haven't played in so long. If I join a lineup watching their team and can't perform, it will be demotivating. Legit demotivating. First, I will improve my gameplay, after that I will be joining a squad with whom I can gel well. But I will look into it then. Not now."
He also added that he will train hard, playing TDM with Team SouL's players. He said (translated from Hindi):
"If I instantly join a team even after playing so bad, the opponents who are on a higher level, they will easily defeat me. That will demotivate me a lot. Now, I will be grinding offline along with Team SouL's players who are staying in the bootcamp. With Goblin, Neyo, or Omega, whoever it is with, I will play TDM to bring back my old gameplay,"
