BGMI veteran Vexe joins Team Z for BMPS 2024

Scout has recently revealed that BGMI pro Vexe is the new addition to Team Z for the upcoming BMPS 2024, which will begin on August 20. The team has been invited to compete in this mega tournament, where many of India's top squads will fight for a humongous prize pool of ₹2 crore. This is the third edition of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series.

Scout had initially announced that Team Z would be shut down but he later changed his decision. The team recently competed in the BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) Season 3 but had a poor run there. The squad was eliminated from the event during its Playoffs stage after finishing 13th in the overall standings.

Arth "Vexe" Trivedi is a veteran athlete who started his esports career in early 2019 with Team MegaStars. He has played many renowned PUBG Mobile/BGMI tournaments over the last five years. However, he has not played any major finals in 2024 so far.

Vexe came into the limelight while playing for MegaStars. His team finished third in the PMCO 2020 Spring Split. His team also ranked third in the PMPL Season 1 South Asia, which had the top teams from India, Bangladesh, and Nepal participating. He performed excellently throughout the tournament.

Vexe was also impressive in the PUBG Mobile World League (PMWL) 2020 East, which featured many top-tier teams. However, his team came 10th in the overall rankings despite his outstanding performances at the tournament.

Vexe then played for over a year for OREsports. He also played for Skylightz Gaming in 2022 and achieved some impressive results. His team claimed fifth rank in both the All Stars Invitational and BGMI Masters Series that year. The squad also registered fourth place in the Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown 2022.

After the re-release of BGMI in May 2023, Vexe played in some notable events for Marcos Gaming but failed to deliver impressive results. He will now look to make his comeback in the BGMI scene under Team Z's banner.

After disappointing results in the BGMS Season 3, the Scout-led team will also aim to clinch a respectable spot in the BMPS 2024. Krafton will announce the complete details of the tournament in a few days. The Grand Finals of this tournament is planned to occur in Kochi in late September.
