On May 8, 2023, Team SouL's coach Amit "Amit" Dubey held a POV livestream of Battlegrounds Mobile India's (BGMI) Tier-1 scrims on his YouTube channel. During the broadcast, he provided his opinions on Mavi, who was also playing with the team on that particular day. According to Amit, Mavi's gun power is the primary difference between his past and current gameplay.

Previously, Mavi could win against great assaulters in TDM matches and close-range fights. He dominated opponents during his PUBG Mobile days and could single-handedly eliminate several enemies in combat.

Amit said (translated from Hindi):

"The main difference between the old Mavi and the current one will be gun power. Previously, he used to defeat great assaulters in TDM and close-range combat, even eliminating two opponents in a fight. He used to dominate one-sided."

While Amit is the current coach of Team SouL, Mavi is a former IGL of the team. Both esports personalities have massive fan followings in the BGMI gaming community.

SouL Amit highlights why Mavi is no longer as impactful in BGMI esports

In the same livestream, Amit highlighted that while Mavi is still an IGL of excellent caliber, he is no longer part of the team that used to dominate the lobby with their aim. The coach added that the players he used to play with during the PUBG Mobile days were lethal. However, his current BGMI teammates lack that intensity, which, in turn, affects the impact he can have.

Amit explained (translated from Hindi):

"He is still a great IGL, but the team he used to have, they used to dominate with their aim, but it's not the same case anymore. Believe it or not, that's the fact. The players he used to previously have in his team were also lethal. Now it's a different scenario altogether."

After Team X Spark disbanded following the suspension on BGMI, Mavi stopped playing the title's esports. Although he has returned to playing regular scrims, he remains a free agent. It remains to be seen which organization signs the renowned IGL in the coming days.
