Popular BGMI YouTuber Kanika "Kani" returned to livestream after a month of inactivity on May 19, 2023. During the livestream, she grabbed the opportunity to discuss different topics related to esports and gaming in India. She also expressed her happiness while speaking about the return of Battlegrounds Mobile India.
Addressing the current state of the title, she requested fans to stay away from negativity while playing the game.
Here's what Kanika had to say (translated from Hindi):
"These three months are very crucial. So, I request you all to keep toxicity at the minimum. Stop spreading toxicity anywhere you feel like. Just play and chill. The game will return with new modes and new updates. Try to enjoy them."
Kanika is one of the most popular female streamers in the country. Moreover, her recovery from ADHD and her return to live streaming, coupled with the news of BGMI's unban, has created a great buzz in the community.
Kanika highlights how the re-introduction of BGMI will be different from its initial release
Continuing on the same matter, Kanika highlighted the importance of players' and fans' sensible attitudes while playing or watching streams. Talking about the trial period in detail, Kanika pointed to the critical stage of the title. She stated (translated from Hindi):
"I hope you guys understand that it (BGMI) is in a really criticial stage now. It is not like that it has arrived like last time and there will be all hype. This time around there will be a trial period and after that if the government feels like they will keep the game, they will do so. Otherwise, it's a very dicey situation. I will request you all not to be toxic."
Battlegrounds Mobile India is returning to the Indian mobile gaming market after a break of almost ten months. However, as Kanika mentioned in her livestream, Krafton has only been allowed by the Indian government to resume the services of BGMI for a trial period of three months.
Based on a recent tweet from Rajeev Chandrasekhar (Union Minister), the game was given a green signal after it complied with server location issues and data security. However, the Indian government would take the final call regarding the game's permanency after it closely monitors determinants like user harm, addiction, and more.
