The BGMI OneBlade Cup will take place from July 3 to 9, 2024, where many teams from India will contest for one slot in the BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) Season 3. The registrations for this event started on Wednesday, June 26, and will be open until July 2. Teams, who wish to take part in the competition, can sign up for it via the Nodwin Gaming website.

The winning team of this OneBlade Cup will be sponsored by Philips OneBlade and will also receive a direct spot in the upcoming BGMS Season 3, a major BGMI event. The former competition will use a 10-point scoring system and feature three maps — Erangel, Sanhok, and Miramar.

OneBlade Cup Road to BGMS format and dates

The Philips tournament is scheduled to be held in two stages, Open Qualifiers and Finals. The initial phase will take place from July 3 to 6, 2024, featuring all the registered teams. In this stage, they will play for 16 spots in the next round. The Finals will occur on July 8 and 9, 2024. Here is the format of the event, as detailed by the organizers:

Qualifiers

  • There will be a total of one qualifier with the registered teams.
  • Team Lobby - Battle Royale.
  • In Round 1, lobbies of 16 teams each will be made.
  • Each lobby will play one match in total.
  • The top two teams from each lobby will qualify for the next round.
  • This will continue until we have 48 remaining teams.
  • Once we have 48 teams, they will be divided into three groups of 16 teams each. Each group will play a total of three matches — the top five from each group will qualify for the Finals and one team from the overall leaderboard will qualify for finals.

Finals

  • Top 16 teams will play 10 games over a period of two days (five games a day).
  • The top team at the end of the Finals will be crowned as the winner and will get a sponsorship exclusively from Philips Oneblade.

The BGMS Season 3 has a total of 24 spots, including one from the OneBlade Cup. Nodwin Gaming has not yet announced the selection process for the remaining 23 teams.

The previous two seasons of the BGMS were successful and attracted a large number of viewers. It is expected that several popular names like Soul, GodLike, Global, XSpark, and Orangutan will be invited directly to this event's third season. The organizer will reveal all the details related to this event in the coming weeks.
