Day 1 of the Skyesports BGMI Championship 2024 Upper and Lower Brackets was held on December 10. Gods Reign topped the overall standings of the Upper Bracket after six matches, while Inferno Squad claimed first rank in the Lower Bracket after six games. Each bracket features 16 teams and a total of 18 matches. These stages of the tournament are being held online.
The top eight teams from the Upper Bracket will qualify for the LAN Finals. Meanwhile, the bottom eight teams will move to the Final Survival Round, where they will meet the top eight teams from the Lower Bracket. The top eight teams from the Final Survival Round will then advance to the LAN Finals.
Day 1 overview of Skyesports BGMI Championship 2024 Upper and Lower Brackets
Upper Bracket
Gods Reign, led by Destro, performed exceptionally well on Day 1 of the BGMI Championship 2024, earning 61 points with the help of two Chicken Dinners and 34 eliminations. Team Soul also started out strong, as the Manya-led roster ranked second with 53 points and one Chicken Dinner.
Gujarat Tigers came in next, securing the third position with 52 points and two Chicken Dinners, while Venom Gaming and Team Sky were fourth and fifth with 42 and 38 points, respectively.
Moving on, Team Jelly and Carnival Gaming scored 36 points each, while Team GodLike, led by BGMI pro-Punk, had an average run, finishing 11th in the overall standings with 26 points, including 22 eliminations. Vasista Esports, who recently won the Red Bull M.E.O. 2024, came 13th with 19 points.
Finally, the last three positions were taken up by Orangutan Gaming, Blitz, and TWM, who secured 19, 18, and 14 points, respectively.
Lower Bracket
Inferno Squad was phenomenal in the Lower Bracket, grabbing the top spot with 57 points and one Chicken Dinner. WindGod and Blind Esports managed 50 and 46 points, respectively, while Genxfm managed to get a Chicken Dinner and came fourth in the table with 42 points.
Moving on, 4Merical Esports and All Star scored 40 and 39 points, respectively. Team Forever, led by Owais, stood 10th in the standings with 32 points, while K9 Squad, which features former Global Esports players, ranked 11th with 29 points, including 26 eliminations.
Medal Esports had a slow start, securing only 27 points in six games. Team Versatile, led by BGMI-star Saumraj, grabbed 23 points. Finally, Original Gangster and TWOB made up the bottom two with 14 and 12 points, respectively.
