On May 19, renowned BGMI streamer Kanika "Kani" Bisht held a livestream on her popular YouTuber channel. During it, she celebrated the news of Battlegrounds Mobile India's return to the Indian gaming market and spoke about the importance of the title and its influence in the industry. A jubilant Kanika also hinted at the game's unban date. According to her, it will return in a matter of days.
Here's what she said (translated from Hindi):
"I do know when the game is going to get unbanned. All I can say to you is to start grinding. Yes, the game's servers are down as new servers are going to launch. So start grinding once it is back, because the game is coming very soon. So soon that you can count the number of days left with your fingers."
Kanika has a huge fan following in the Battlegrounds Mobile India gaming community which is why she had thousands of viewers in her latest livestream. Hence, it is natural that her hint at the game's tentative return date has got fans buzzing with excitement.
Kanika unsure of a BGMI launch party happening in the immediate future
Kanika was excited throughout the stream and her hint at the possible unban date of Battlegrounds Mobile India seconded that of the official confirmation from Krafton. She also highlighted how the game's return will result in her livestreaming it on a daily basis, where she will be treading on the virtual battlegrounds along with her subscribers, friends, and random teammates as well.
Later on, in the same livestream, she talked about the sleek chances of a launch party/tournament getting organized during the trial period.
She said (translated from Hindi):
"I think stuff like BGMI's launch tournaments and other things will be delayed. I don't think they are going to happen immediately. Remember there was a launch party last time? This time it won't happen immediately. I don't know for sure, but that's my assumption. I think those things are going to happen after the game launches fully after these three months. So, be alert about it."
With BGMI making its return after a 10-month hiatus, it remains to be seen if the in-game update can live up to players' expectations across the country.
