Black Ops 2 precedes the events of Black Ops 6, and hence, it won't be out of the blue for the two titles to share some weapons. Although we are yet to see the full range of weapons that will be available in BO6, Call of Duty has confirmed that it will feature weapons that were used during the Gulf War of the 1990s. Black Ops 2, on the other hand, is often considered one of the best titles in the series, partly due to the wide variety of weapons available in the game.

Since the two titles share a similar timeline and BO2 is known to have some of the best weapons in the series, we would love to see some of them making their way to Black Ops 6. So in this article, we will look at 7 Black Ops 2 weapons that need to return in Black Ops 6.

7 Black Ops 2 weapons that should make a comeback in Black Ops 6

The following are the 7 Black Ops 2 weapons that need to return with Black Ops 6:

1) M8A1

One of the most memorable weapons in Black Ops 2, the M8A1 is a four-burst Assault Rifle that was considered extremely lethal in the right hands. In the entire history of the Call of Duty series, only a few burst-fire weapons have been deemed meta and the M8A1 is one of them.

This gun has a fast fire rate, and combined with its good damage output, it is capable of shredding through enemies instantly. In fact, at closer ranges, you wouldn't need an entire full burst to take out an enemy, and only three out of the four bullets of the burst will get the job done.

Needless to say, fans would be delighted if the Assault Rifle makes a comeback in Black Ops 6.

2) MSMC

The MSMC was one of the best SMGs in Black Ops 2 and should return with Black Ops 6. This SMG was the best-in-class for its damage output, taking out enemies at medium ranges with ease. Being an SMG, it had all the mobility stats going for it and that combined with a damage output comparable to an Assault Rifle, made it a force to be reckoned with.

3) KSG

The KSG was considered the best Shotgun in Black Ops 2 thanks to its significantly high damage output. Each round dealt damage of 200 at closer ranges, making it a one-shot kill, and damage of 75 at ranges up to 30 meters, making it a two-shot kill. What made it stand out from other Shotguns in the shooter is that it shot slugs and this resulted in extremely high damage.

Be that as it may, it was not without cons. Its low rate of fire was holding it back from being an absolute menace. With that said, its high damage output made up for it as you rarely needed to shoot the weapon twice.

If it does return to Black Ops 6, we would love to see the gun's fire rate improved and the damage per round slightly lowered, making it your perfectly balanced and ideal Shotgun in the game.

4) LSAT

Getting into the LMG territory, nothing beats the LSAT. In fact, it won't be wrong to call it the best LMG in the entire franchise. Insanely fast with the right attachments, moderate damage output, and exceptionally low recoil, it is extremely lethal in the right hands. However, being an LMG, it had its cons such as lower mobility and handling.

Hence, it was the go-to weapon for players who like playing the objective in modes like Domination, as it allowed them to stand their ground and rain fire on their targets. A 100-round magazine with low recoil and high damage made it the ideal weapon for holding down sites, and it could eliminate an entire team without even reloading once.

Needless to say, it deserves to return in Black Ops 6 with the same stats as it is one of the few weapons that can hold on its own, even in the modern Call of Duty games.

5) DSR 50

The words "One shot, one kill" and the DSR 50 are synonymous. The Sniper Rifle had a significant damage output of 98 per bullet, almost guaranteeing a one-shot kill in the game. It is often considered the best and the most consistent Sniper Rifle in BO2. Moreover, it had quite high penetration capabilities, which could easily take out enemies hiding behind thin cover.

In the era of Call of Duty games where one-shot capabilities define the viability of a Sniper Rifle, the DSR 50 would instantly stand out as one of the best Sniper Rifles in the game.

6) Skorpion EVO

This list wouldn't have been completed if we hadn't included the Skorpion EVO. It used to be the fastest-firing SMG in BO2 and would shred through enemies almost instantly. Although the recoil on the SMG was considered high for the time, it would fit well with how gunplay works in current-gen Call of Duty games.

Another con of this SMG was its low damage output. However, it wasn't something that players cared about as the insanely high fire rate of 1250 RPM makes up for it and makes it one of the fastest killing weapons in the Call of Duty series, to date.

7) AN-94

Finally, we come to the AN-94 Assault Rifle from BO2. Often deemed as the jack of all trades, the AN-94 was a versatile Assault Rifle that was capable of helping players take fights at medium and even long ranges with ease. The recoil on the rifle wasn't high and the damage profile was quite good for its class which dealt 40 up close and 24 at longer ranges.

One of the unique aspects of this gun was it shot the first two bullets at a faster fire rate of 937 RPM and then settled to 625 RPM. Considering its damage profile, it was capable of taking out enemies with just 3 shots at close ranges resulting in a fast time to kill.

Its quick reload time also made it ideal for aggressive plays. Needless to say, it is one of the few Assault Rifles from BO2 that we would love to see in Black Ops 6.
