The Call of Duty community appears frustrated after watching the latest Huskerr’s Warzone killcam footage. In two videos posted on X by @HusKerrs, a popular CoD PC streamer demonstrated how a player, using aim assist killed him in a tough gunfight but missed several easy sniper shots in the same lobby. Call of Duty allows cross-platform by connecting players from different platforms in the same lobby.

As a result, PC players are often matched with controller players who use aim assist, giving them an advantage during gameplay. In CoD, the aim assist option is exclusively for controllers, making it easier for players to aim.

This issue has been faced by several players, leading to debates on social media. An X user, @CommentsWithKev, stated:

"Aim assist is cheating."

Many players commented on Huskerr's post, which appeared to criticize the aim assist mech in CoD. A user, @F3RRI3R, said they stopped playing Call of Duty in February, as it was not fun to play against others using aim assist. They spoke of having spent a lot of money on CoD while losing their loyalty.

Another user, @drzfrz10, mentioned that the objective of Call of Duty is clear; to give a false sense of hope and motivation with aim assist, which results in manipulating matchmaking and generating revenue.

Several users also said that they shifted to other FPS games like PUBG, as it does not have aim assist. They added that the mechanism has ruined the game and that CoD doesn't seem to want to change it.

What is aim assist and how does it work in Warzone?

Aim assist makes slight adjustments to the crosshair for controller players to help them target enemies easily. This helps them focus on their target and gain an advantage during gunfights. Players can customize the intensity of aim assist and turn it off if needed. However, most CoD controller players use aim assist to improve their gameplay and secure victory over PC gamers.
