Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (MW2) received a new patch on October 23, 2023, that brought some significant weapon changes and adjusted the overall loadout meta. These updates are necessary for an online multiplayer title like MW2 since the game would become one-sided and create an unfair playing ground for some of the players.

Modern Warfare 2 features a huge weapons arsenal that players can access to create personalized loadouts and builds for their playstyles. However, some weapons can become overpowered at times and overshadow others in the class. This is when the developers take steps to either nerf or buff guns to balance the battlefield.

This article will highlight all weapon adjustments in Modern Warfare 2 after the latest update.
