Currently, there are a total of 18 Scorestreaks in Black Ops 6. The concept of Killstreaks is gone with Modern Warfare 3 (2023), and Black Ops 6 is incentivizing fans to play the match objectives. As a result, this time around it is not directly the kills that are contributing to the streaks but rather the score one earns in a single life, and similar to Killstreaks, the score will reset upon death.
These scores can of course be earned by getting kills, but can also be earned by collecting tags in a Kill Confirmed match for instance, or by capturing a site in the Domination mode i.e., by playing the objective of the match.
In this brief guide, we will take a closer look at all the Scorestreaks in Black Ops 6, understand what they do, their score requirements, and finally, how you can unlock them and equip them.
How to unlock all the Scorestreaks in Black Ops 6
The Scorestreaks in Black Ops 6 are unlocked based on your Military Rank or the Player Level, and to earn them in a match, you must earn scores by playing a match's objectives, getting kills, taking down enemy Scorestreaks, and a lot more. Simply put, as long as you are earning scores, they will count towards the streaks.

How to equip Scorestreaks in the Black Ops 6?
Once you are done unlocking the Scorestreaks in Black Ops 6, it's time to equip them. To do so, follow these steps:
- From your main menu, go to the Weapons tab.
- Select Scorestreaks. This will show you all the streaks available in the game.
- Select the three streaks that you want to spawn in a match with.
That's it. Now to earn these streaks in the game, you must accumulate scores. As seen from the tables above, each one has a different score requirement. There are multiple ways to earn scores in a match, including playing the objectives, getting kills and assists, and more.
However, do note that to earn these Scorestreaks, you must earn the required points in the same life. If you die, the streak meter will be reset and you start with a clean state on your next life.
Best Scorestreaks for different playstyles
Scorestreaks are crucial for gaining an advantage once you accumulate enough points to activate them. Since there are 18 Scorestreaks but you can only equip three in your match, it’s essential to choose ones that match your playstyle.
For aggressive playstyle
If you prefer an aggressive approach, consider equipping the following Scorestreaks:
- UAV (600)
- Watchdog Helo (1100)
- Chopper Gunner (1600)
This combination is ideal for aggressive players. The UAV helps locate enemies by marking them on your Tac map, while the Watchdog Helo not only locates enemies but also engages them, providing additional offensive support. The Chopper Gunner, requiring a 1,600 score to activate, allows you to eliminate enemies easily from an assault chopper, giving you significant firepower.
For defensive/support players
For players who prefer a defensive role and support their teammates from a distance, the following combination is effective:
- Counter UAV (700)
- Sentry Turret (1000)
- Chopper Gunner (1600)
Stay vigilant and place the Counter UAV to disrupt enemy mini-maps. The Sentry Turret can be strategically positioned to provide support from a fixed location. Finally, the Chopper Gunner allows you to cover a large area from the air, effectively eliminating enemies.
For beginners
For beginners who may not have unlocked various Scorestreaks yet, this combination is recommended:
- Scout Pulse (400)
- RCXD (450)
- Watchdog Helo (1100)
These Scorestreaks are primarily unlocked by default, with the RC-XD available at account level 5. This setup is effective for newcomers: the Scout Pulse pings nearby enemies, the RCXD is a remote-controlled explosive vehicle, and the Watchdog Helo assists in locating and engaging enemies, providing essential opportunities for counterattacks.
Tips for earning Scorestreaks faster
There are several effective strategies to gather scores in your game, primarily by selecting the right items in your loadout, including Perks, Field Upgrades, equipment, and Wildcards.
One of the best ways to earn points quickly is to play Kill Confirmed, where you receive additional points for picking up tags from fallen players.
A crucial method for scoring is to equip three Perks from the Strategist combat specialty to activate its Combat Specialty. This grants you extra score bonuses for completing objectives and destroying enemy equipment. Two important Perks to consider are Dispatcher and Bankroll.
- Dispatcher reduces the score cost for non-lethal Scorestreaks; for example, a UAV that normally costs 600 points will only cost 500. However, it does not affect the score cost of lethal Scorestreaks like the RCXD or Chopper Gunner.
- Bankroll gives you a 150-point head start at the beginning of each life.
Since Bankroll is an Enforcer Perk, you'll need to use the Perk Greed Wildcard to equip it alongside your three Strategist Perks.
For Field Upgrades, consider using a Scrambler or an Acoustic Amplifier. Activating either will grant you extra scores when you eliminate enemies. With the Scrambler, if enemies are within its radius, their equipment gets disrupted, and if they are killed by you or your teammates at that time, you receive additional scores. With Acoustic Amp, you must eliminate enemies yourself to gain the extra score.
For equipment, the Decoy Grenade is useful. When thrown, it creates a radius that distracts enemies. Any enemies killed within that radius will grant you additional scores.
