The Squid Game 2 LTM in Black Ops 6 Zombies is now a topic of discussion among players. It is a part of the Squid Game 2 crossover event that went live on January 3, 2025. In this mode titled "Dead Light, Green Light," Young-hee, the iconic doll, calls out three phrases: Green Light, Red Light, and Dead Light by which players are required to start or stop moving. However, COD fans are not happy with this mode, and this sentiment was quite apparent in the recent Reddit post by u/nick626na, where they said:
“Am I missing something here? Is the game mode bugged? What is the point of playing 10 rounds of zombies then exfilling?”
While many players shared the same frustration, Redditor u/Loslobosdel, criticized the mode as being lazy and uninspiring.

Another user u/Tommydude21, pointed out that the mode was odd since there was no indication that it would force an exfil. This implies how the mode requires players to excel after the tenth round. However, they did find the mode quite fun in other aspects.
Moving on, Redditor u/ohlena claimed the mode might be bugged as it ended in the tenth round. They noticed the exfil timer while trying to pack a punch and were surprised at how the mode did not let them progress further.
Meanwhile, user u/tantrumstep joked that they should have purchased the BlackCell and Vault editions to get an exfil timer after 100 rounds. This clearly indicates the pay-to-play aspect of Activision.

However, not all comments were negative, as Redditor u/Natedoggsk8 spoke in favor of the Squid Game 2 LTM, claiming that it's fine for people to have differing opinions. They also mentioned enjoying the quick pace of the mode.
Why are most COD fans not happy with the Squid Game 2 LTM in Black Ops 6 Zombies?
The Squid Game 2 LTM in Black Ops 6 Zombies offers fast-paced zombie gameplay. With only 10 rounds of gameplay, this mode lasts approximately 13 minutes. Once players reach the tenth round, they are required to reach the exfil to end the match.
Moreover, players have to adhere to an exfil timer of one minute and ten seconds to complete the match and gain rewards. However, this has not been well-received by CoD players, who wanted the mode to last longer. Fans also had an issue with the low amount of XP offered at the end of every match.
