Black Ops 6 Ranked Play witnesses unexplained loss of Skill Rating

Skill Rating is essentially what decides your rank in Black Ops 6. In a way, it is a measure of how skilled you are. Winning matches grants you SR points, while losing matches deducts them, reflecting your skill.

However, for @aboardBORED, losing SR without even playing a match was a shock. The player shared a video on X where, upon starting a Black Ops 6 Ranked Play match, they received a notification of a 30 SR loss instead of entering the pre-game lobby.

In their post, @aboardBORED aimed to catch the developers' attention regarding this issue:

"Yo @Activision & @Treyarch WHAT THE HELL IS THIS??? WHAT HAPPENED?? Could I get my SR back or....?"

It's unclear how widespread this issue is, but multiple players have reported similar experiences. Currently, the cause of SR loss remains unexplained. While it could be linked to previous match abandonment, @aboardBORED's post doesn't provide clarity.

Similarly, a comment by @PaNiiKDestroid under the post noted a similar problem, where the player lost 50 SR without even searching for a matchup. Apart from that, another player, @IBrownRice, lost 200 SR and said:
