It has not been a week since Black Ops 6 was released and the title is already seeing a surge in cheaters. Numerous game clips have surfaced online showing players cheating in the game. These cheats range all the way from unlock tools to aimbots and wallhacks. Despite the updates to the Ricochet, Call of Duty's proprietary anti-cheat system, hackers have been able to bypass it and ruin matches for all players in the game.

Cheaters surge in Black Ops 6 only days after its release

Black Ops 6 has seen a large influx of cheaters and it hasn't even been a week since it was released. As discussed earlier, the perpetrators are using tools that are giving them unfair advantages in the game including aimbot, wallhacks (ESP), and more.

@WarzoneAlerts on X recently shared a clip of players using cheats in the title. In the short 22-second clip, the cheater could be seen instantly eliminating their foes with a headshot through walls and boxes, without even seeing them. The aim just sticks to their head and instantly downs them.

The cheater was caught in the game's Best Play showcase which shows the entire lobby the best moments from the match. Unfortunately, in this case, it was the user with cheats.

Given below is another clip of a player getting shot through a surface without them having eyes on their target. The video clearly shows how the cheater simply snaps onto the target through a wall. These are only a few examples. Social platforms such as X and Reddit are filled with a host of clips of cheaters getting caught.

It is currently unknown if the cheaters were appropriately punished for their actions in the game.

This is concerning for players as well as the developers. Right before the release, the devs promised a robust and improved anti-cheat system that they claimed would curb cheating in the game. They felt compelled to do so because Call of Duty has long been criticized for the Ricochet anti-cheat and the increasing numbers of cheaters.

In the BO6 beta too, the shooter had been infiltrated by cheaters, and developers promised to make things better by the final launch.

In fact, in the past, the title's leaderboards were dominated by cheaters, not giving the legit players a fair chance at climbing the skill ladders. Despite the efforts that the developers have allegedly put in, it appears that cheating still remains a major issue in the series and Black Ops 6 is no exception.
