Black Ops 6 will be released later this year (2024) and is set to introduce many exciting features and gameplay mechanics. That said, Treyarch's upcoming FPS premium should also focus on offering a solid Firing Range experience. In recent installments like MW2 and MW3, this feature isn't very engaging. As such, BO6 must take notes from CoD WWII to include a promising Firing Range.
This article will mention certain key reasons why CoD Black Ops 6 should include a Firing Range similar to what was seen in Sledgehammer Games' WWII title from 2017.

The Firing Range in Black Ops 6 should have interactive options with a practice location like WWII
Black Ops 6 should offer an impressive Firing Range. That's because the current iteration of this feature is more or less boring and repetitive. Ever since the Firing Range returned in MW2 and then in the newest installment, Modern Warfare 3, it's been similar in design to what fans were used to but didn't offer anything extra.
One can select the Firing Range right now in MW3 to test any loadout or gun by firing at three dummies that keep popping up at different intervals of time. Beyond that, there's nothing else to do. Black Ops 6 should refrain from bringing back such an iteration of the Firing Range and must learn from WWII's innovative approach to this feature.
For those unaware, CoD WWII had a dedicated in-game outpost called Headquarters. This area boasted multiple options for players to use and interact with. The Headquarters also included its own Firing Range, an image of which can be seen below.
Players could simply walk up to the range to test their Primary or Secondary weapons. However, what made this open area interesting was the fact that it provided an option to use Lethal and Tactical Equipment, which is not the case with the feature in MW2 and MW3.
WWII's Firing Range allowed players to practice with different weapons for different ranges. It had close-range, mid-range, and long-range targets, ensuring variety.
Furthermore, the game also allowed gamers to take sequences (basically challenges) specifically attached to the Firing Range. Upon completing them, players earned lucrative rewards like Calling Cards. What made the entire Firing Range experience amazing was the difficulty level set by developers. Players could either take up the challenges Solo or in Squads to earn rewards faster.
All of this is currently missing with MW3's Firing Range, which is bland, to say the least. Black Ops 6 should take a leaf out of WWII's gameplay design in order to offer a reimagined version of this experience. The chances are looking promising as well. Treyarch's team has already confirmed the return of the Safe House in Black Ops 6.
This time, the Safe House will be a huge Manor where players will perform numerous activities apart from keeping track of their missions. The area will also offer options for upgrading weapons and checking the loadouts.
While there's no update at the moment regarding a Firing Range in Black Ops 6's Safe House, Treyarch's team should offer this feature with a dedicated practice area. Moreover, this experience should carry over into BO6's Multiplayer as well.
Hopefully, the developers will provide a necessary update on this topic ahead of the game's release on October 25.
