It appears that Treyarch's upcoming Call of Duty offering Black Ops 6 won't require 300 GB on gaming platforms. The latest update comes from Reddit, where a player recently indicated that the next CoD title will instead will require only around 150 GB to install. This would surely please the fans who were concerned about how much space would be taken.
Black Ops 6 is set for a global launch this fall and will introduce tons of new changes in Multiplayer and Campaign while bringing back the iconic round-based Zombies experience.
Note: Players are advised to take early speculations and rumors with a grain of salt unless there's an official confirmation from developers.
Black Ops 6 might weigh close to 150 GB and not 300 GB
Redditor Working_Journalist37 shared a post on the platform. It contained an image from their Xbox device and apparently showed the overall size of CoD Black Ops 6.
Going by the descripton mentioned in the image, it looks like Black Ops 6 will only weigh 144GB and not 300 GB as previously thought.
Interestingly, Call of Duty's team had recently tried to clarify the situation regarding the game's overall size. In an X post, the makers revealed the initial 300 GB size wasn't accurate. It didn't actually represent the download size or disk footprint for BO6.
Still, it would be better for the developers to officially come up with an exact size for the game ahead of its big debut. All things considered, most players will definitely take a sigh of relief now with the latest update.
