Black Ops 6 player gets "ridiculous" hit registration after Season 1 update

If you have played Black Ops 6 and Warzone after the Season 1 update, you may have noticed several persistent issues in the game. One gameplay clip from user u/BigSmnok on Reddit showed that the hit registration is sometimes inaccurate, and it's almost impossible to get the kills you deserve in the game.

In the video, the user can be seen landing some shots perfectly, including two headshots. However, the enemy showed no sign of receiving damage, except for the last shot, which led the player to kill the enemy in Black Ops 6. The second-last shot even showed a bit of blood splatter, an in-game feature that shows whether players are landing their shots accurately. Sadly, the enemy didn't receive any damage even during that shot.

Voicing their frustration, the user wrote:

"Hit Registration is ridiculous at times. Did the first 3 shots miss? Absolutely. But 4 and 5 have literal blood splatter textures from being dead on target show up, with no hitmarker."

A user in the same thread explained that there was supposed to be a car on the B side of the Nuketown map. However, COD players have been facing some rendering issues since the update, which leads players to not see certain objects in-game. According to the Redditor, the car blocked all the shots, but due to the rendering issue, the player did not see them getting blocked. The user stated:

"The car (or whatever there is at B flag) didn’t load in. That’s why it didn’t hit him, there’s an invisible barrier blocking the shots"

However, some other users did not agree with the rendering issue logic and revealed that they have been facing similar problems in the Black Ops 6 Zombies as well.

COD players have been facing hit registration issues in Black Ops 6 since launch, and it's still there

Hit registration issues didn't just start after the Season 1 update — several players have raised this issue since the launch of Black Ops. A creator named @OakleyBoii posted a clip on X on November 23, 2024. The video shows the opponent player getting the hit marker despite not accurately hitting their shots, which is exactly the opposite of what the previous player faced.

Black Ops 6 has now been integrated into Warzone, and with it, some of the issues that were gone from the battle royale have returned. This can be frustrating for players, and we hope the developers will soon look into them and fix them to give the players a smooth gaming experience.
