Black Ops 6 pre-load is now live for PC and PlayStation. One of the most anticipated games for Call of Duty fans, you can download and install it in advance to jump straight into the action as soon as it launches on October 24, 2024, without waiting for installation or downloads on release day. The pre-load will be available across all platforms.
At the moment, however, it is only accessible to PC (Battle.net) and PlayStation users. In this article, we’ll guide you through the steps to pre-load BO6 and also provide details regarding the download size.
Black Ops 6 pre-load sizes for all platforms
According to the official blog post, the pre-load for BO6 was scheduled to go live on October 21, 2024, at 9 am PT. However, PlayStation, Xbox X|S, and PC users on Battle.net now have the opportunity to access the pre-load earlier than Xbox One and Steam users.
Only the pre-load sizes for PlayStation and PC (Battle.net) are currently available. PlayStation 5 users need to download multiple packs, but at the moment, only Campaign Packs 1 and 2 are accessible. The Multiplayer and Zombie packs will become available on October 21, 2024, at 9 am PT.

PC (Battle.net): 60.16 GB
PlayStation 4:
- Campaign Pack 1: 14.529 GB
- Campaign Pack 2: 18.720 GB
- Multiplayer Pack: 12.723 GB
PlayStation 5:
- Campaign Pack 1: 16.860 GB
- Campaign Pack 2: 20 GB
Xbox X|S: 125.74 GB
Note: The pre-load sizes for PC (Steam) will be updated once the information becomes available.
How to pre-load Black Ops 6 on PC (Battle.net/Steam)
To pre-load BO6 on PC via Battle.net, follow these steps:
- Select Call of Duty.
- Click the Settings option, near the Play option.
- Choose Modify Install from the drop-down menu.
- Select the Content section and click on Modify Install again.
- You’ll find the BO6 content there. Select it and click Confirm.
- Finally, press Start Update to begin the download.
Steam users can pre-load the game when it becomes available by following these steps:
- Open your Library and locate the Call of Duty application.
- Right-click the application and select Properties from the drop-down menu.
- Navigate to the DLC tab.
- Check any files labeled Black Ops 6 and initiate the update.

How to pre-load Black Ops 6 on PlayStation (PS4/PS5)
For PlayStation 4 and 5 users, you can pre-load the game by following the below steps:
- Launch the Call of Duty application.
- Press the Options button on your console.

- Select Black Ops 6 and confirm.

Xbox X|S users can pre-load the game now by following the steps below, but for Xbox One users, the pre-load isn't live yet.
- Open the Call of Duty application.
- Go to Manage Game & Add-Ons.
- Select Black Ops 6 and initiate the installation.
