A fan-favorite, classic Call of Duty weapon has been teased in Black Ops 6 Zombies in a new trailer for Terminus Island. This is one of the two round-based Zombies maps players will see in the game at launch. Among other aspects featured in the latest trailer, what stands out is the brief appearance of the PP90M1 submachine gun, which will return in Black Ops 6.

Classic PP90M1 SMG teased in Black Ops 6 Zombies

Treyarch released a new Intel Drop video for Terminus Island from Black Ops 6 Zombies. This map will be the main location for many story-based quests and mysterious easter eggs. While showcasing its detailed environment and setting, the clip showed the return of the iconic PP90M1 gun in several shots of Terminus Island in Black Ops 6 Zombies, marking its comeback after over a decade.

For those unaware, the PP90M1 was last seen in 2011's original Modern Warfare 3 from Infinity Ward. In that installment, the SMG was spotted in various Campaign missions like Hunter Killer, Turbulence, Mind The Gap, and Goalpost. However, it was available to be unlocked in Multiplayer after reaching Level 28.

In Modern Warfare 3, the PP90M1 was a fully automatic weapon while being a good option for close-range fights. It will be interesting to see how this SMG gets revamped in Black Ops 6 Zombies as far as its overall performance is concerned.

Black Ops 6 Zombies gameplay to be revealed this month

Treyarch will officially reveal extended gameplay from Black Ops 6 Zombies later this month during the Call of Duty Next event on August 28, 2024. After a long wait, fans will witness actual gameplay footage from an upcoming map under the game's round-based experience.

Call of Duty Next will showcase gameplay from Liberty Falls, one of the two round-based maps in Black Ops 6 Zombies. The map of Liberty Falls is set in the Appalachian Mountains in West Virginia, a small town where an incursion occurred, resulting in zombies roaming everywhere.

Moreover, rumors suggest that Liberty Falls might be available as a pre-order bonus to players during the Black Ops 6 Zombies' early-access period. But everything should be taken with a grain of salt unless Treyarch and Activision provide an official update.
