Professional Call of Duty player and content creator HusKerrs recently called out Activision and CoD as cheaters ran rampant in Warzone Ranked Play. The shooter has always had such players. However, since the game was integrated with BO6 and Ranked Play was introduced, it has seen an increase in cheaters — to the point where many are quitting the game.

HusKerrs took to X to share his thoughts about the rise in cheaters in Warzone Ranked Play:

"Yoohoo @CallofDuty @Activision there are probably 3-5 cheaters on average per ranked game in WZ right now. Can we get a working anti-cheat instead of continuously letting your game’s image and reputation go down the drain?"

HusKerrs shares his frustration over the rise of cheaters in Warzone Ranked Play

While calling out Call of Duty and Activision (publishers of CoD), HusKerrs mentioned the number of cheaters he encountered per game in WZ Ranked. He then addressed Ricochet, an in-house anti-cheat solution for Call of Duty games that is currently in use in Warzone Ranked Play.

This tool was created to stop cheaters and prevent them from disrupting the gameplay. HusKerrs post indicates that the anti-cheat has failed to do this, which is affecting the game's image.

Call of Duty has been criticized by the pro gamer earlier as well, where he called out the developer because of major hit-registration issues. In this case, the bullets appeared to be hitting the foe but weren't being registered as hits.

HusKerrs, however, isn't the only one who is frustrated with cheaters. Professional Warzone player and content creator Aydan has also called out the developer due to the increase in cheaters.

Cheating/hacking remains a major problem for Call of Duty, and although the situation might seem bleak at the moment, the developer has assured players it'll make changes to the anti-cheat and improve it.
