Simply put, yes, you can keep your MW3 items in Warzone after the Black Ops 6 release. Call of Duty stated that all your items, including weapons from Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3, will be a part of the battle royale even after the release of BO6. This has been the way even in the last generation of Call of Duty titles, where items from Modern Warfare (2019), Black Ops Cold War (2020), and Vanguard (2021), were integrated into Warzone.

Call of Duty has cleared all the confusion about the items that will carry forward to Warzone from MW3 after Black Ops 6 releases in their official blog. In this article, we'll take a look at how Carry Forward will work with CoD's upcoming launch.

How will Carry Forward work with Warzone and MW3 after the release of Black Ops 6?

Call of Duty, in their official blog, described how Carry Forward will work this time around with Warzone and MW3 after Black Ops 6 releases. They have mentioned that all items from Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3 will be integrated into Warzone and all the BO6 items will be making their way to the game after Season 1 goes live.

However, Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3 items will NOT carry forward to BO6 Multiplayer, except for the Woods Operator Pack pre-order bonus, which can be availed right now in MW3.

Call of Duty mentions that they want players to experience the Black Ops universe "the way it’s meant to be played". They want their players to experience the era the shooter is based on, which is the early 1990s during the Gulf War.

This is to enrich their understanding of the various equipment and gear that were used during that time as well as get them used to the gameplay and movement mechanics such as Omnimovement, Corner Slicing, and more.

For instance, futuristic weapons such as the MORS or Stormender from Modern Warfare 3, will not fit well into the 1990s Gulf War theme and will take away from the immersive and realistic experience that Call of Duty wants to deliver with their upcoming release.

Developers want everyone to start fresh and want Black Ops 6 to mark a new era in the history of the franchise.
