The Casus Brake is a Muzzle attachment in MW3 and Warzone. It is essentially a Compensator that reduces recoil and is especially used with fully automatic guns. Currently, it is one of the most popular Muzzles in the shooters, second only to the Zehmn35 Compensated Flash Hider. Despite the Zehmn35 boasting overall better stats as a Muzzle, many tend to pick the Casus Brake for their weapon due to its ability to reduce visual recoil.

That said, this article will offer a closer look at how you can unlock Casus Brake in MW3 and Warzone, as well as it pros and cons.

How to unlock the Casus Brake in MW3 and Warzone?

Alternatively, you can take advantage of the Armory Unlocks to get your hands on the Muzzle, which involves either completing Daily Challenges or winning matches to get points toward unlocking the Casus Brake.

Both methods are straightforward and you can have the attachment unlocked in no time. If you are going to go the first route and need the Muzzle as early as possible, it is recommended to play game modes like Kill Confirmed with the Longbow and use Double Weapon XP tokens if you have any at your disposal.

Pros and cons of the Casus Brake in MW3 and Warzone

The following are the pros and cons of the Casus Brake in MW3 and Warzone:

ProsCons
Reduced Horizontal Recoil Reduced Aim Down Sight Speed
Improved Firing Aim Stability

Right off the bat, it doesn't seem to do much and there are plenty of other Muzzles in the games that will improve range, bullet velocity, and more. So why do players prefer the Casus Brake?

As mentioned earlier, it reduces the visual recoil to a great extent. In MW3 and Warzone, there is the additional aspect of visual recoil, that can make a weapon feel less accurate to shoot with on top of its regular recoil. Moreover, too much visual recoil can obstruct visibility, which makes it difficult to track one's targets.

Hence, many players prefer the Casus Brake. It almost fully rids the visual recoil and on top of that, it reduces horizontal recoil, which is quite random and difficult to counter with any weapon in the games. Furthermore, it stabilizes the firing aim, making the gun more accurate.

As for the cons of the attachment, it reduces the aim down sight speed. However, this negative effect can be easily countered with other attachments that improve the aim down sight speed such as the DR-6 Handstop Underbarrel.

The Casus Brake is one of the few Muzzles in the shooters where you won't have to trade the bullet velocity or the damage range for accuracy. For reference, the popular Zehmn35 Compensated Flash Hider will reduce bullet velocity, which is counterproductive, especially for long-range fights.

All these reasons combined, make the Casus Brake one of the best Muzzles in MW3 and Warzone.

That should cover everything that you need to know about the Casus Brake in MW3 and Warzone.
