CoD devs are bringing major changes to one of the Black Ops 6 Zombies maps. Treyarch, the studio behind BO6, has previously unveiled the two new maps set to launch in BO6 Zombies. They are Terminus and Liberty Falls. While the presentation of the map Terminus was well received, players were quite upset with how Liberty Falls was portrayed, claiming that it doesn't feel like a Zombies map.
Fortunately, Call of Duty has heard these concerns and will be making changes to the map. Read more below to find out why fans did not like Liberty Falls and what changes Treyarch is bringing.
What changes are coming to Liberty Falls in Black Ops 6 Zombies?
One of the major changes coming to Liberty Falls in Black Ops 6 Zombies is the reimagining of the visual tone. In the latest episode of COD POD, one topic of discussion was the changes in the Liberty Falls map. Therein, it was revealed that since the map was first showcased in Call of Duty Next, the developers have been making changes behind the scenes to make the map "moodier", which was one of the major concerns of fans since its release.
Moreover, it was revealed that the gameplay footage showcased at COD Next had the main quest and Easter Eggs turned off. So, fans didn't see everything the map has to offer.
The podcast suggested that atmospheric elements will be one of the highlights. They will be dynamic and change as per the quest and when Easter Eggs are on. Meaning, that fans can expect to see the environment change around them as they focus on objectives on the map.
These changes have already been made in the backend and will be available to fans when Black Ops 6 releases on October 25, 2024. There will be no specific updates for it later and will instead be a part of the shooter's day-one content.

Why fans didn't like the map Liberty Falls in Black Ops 6 Zombies?
Liberty Falls in Black Ops 6 Zombies was revealed during the Call of Duty Next Event. In the first reveal footage, the developers showcased action-packed round-based Zombies gameplay. While the gameplay and mechanics made fans instantly happy, they were disappointed with one particular aspect, the environment.
COD Zombies maps always carry an eerie and sinister environment, that immerses players in the horrific survival mode. However, this was absent from Liberty Falls, making it seem like a traditional Multiplayer map. The lighting and the overall aesthetics didn't quite fit in with the Zombies blueprint that Call of Duty usually has.
As a result, fans were unhappy with how the map was portrayed and the issue was raised online. Fortunately, the Call of Duty devs listened to the feedback and have been working to resolve these issues.
