In a recent Q&A session with popular Call of Duty content creator FaZe Swagg, the game devs reportedly answered several questions regarding Warzone that the community has been concerned about. Since the release of the current iteration of Warzone, fans have been complaining about the game's poor graphics and slower movement compared to the OG title. So, Swagg posed questions about the same issues to one of the devs in the private Q&A session.

During his stream, someone asked the content creator why the current Warzone has worse graphics and movement compared to the last one, prompting him to reveal what the devs said about the situation. However, the community might not like what they had to say.

Read on to learn more about Swagg's conversation with Call of Duty developers.

COD devs reveal the reason behind worse graphics/movement, whether Warzone 1 is coming back or not, and more.

The community has been wondering for a while why the current Warzone iteration looks worse than the previous one. Although the visual fidelity is much more noticeable in the latest version, somehow it doesn't look as real as the old one. In response to Swagg's question regarding the below-average graphics, the dev stated that this was "the direction" that they went in, suggesting that the change of lighting and overall feeling of the map was intentional from the devs' end.

Swagg also asked whether Call of Duty will bring the OG Warzone back, and sadly, the answer is no. The devs explained that the first iteration of Warzone was made up of small pieces built on top of each other, making it "very complex," and almost impossible to bring back. Popular content creator JGOD also stated that Warzone 1 was not supposed to continue, further laying to rest fans' hopes of seeing the OG Warzone return someday.

Since Call of Duty created Warzone as an addition to Modern Warfare (2019), the groundwork for the game was not solid. However, the game became extremely popular, which the devs hadn't expected. As a result, they had to abandon the old version and create Warzone from scratch.
