Fan-favorite Parkour mode, G3T_H1GH, will return in MW3 Season 4 Reloaded. This was disclosed in the official Call of Duty blog, which discusses all the game modes coming to the shooter in the upcoming mid-season update. In the blog, it was revealed that CoD will be bringing a "revamped" version of the G3T_H1GH Parkour mode to Modern Warfare 3 in Season 4 Reloaded.
For those who are new to the shooter, the Parkour mode was available only for a limited time during Season 3, where it was added to the playlist for a few hours at first, then for 24 hours, and then for 72 hours. However, it was never present as a part of the permanent playlist.
Despite being available for a limited time, it was widely liked by the community and they requested Sledgehammer Games to bring the game mode back. Fortunately, it now seems the community's demands have been accepted and the G3T_H1GH mode is returning.
What is the G3T_H1GH Parkour mode in MW3?
G3T_H1GH Parkour mode in MW3 (Modern Warfare 3) is a free-for-all parkour game mode. It essentially transforms the shooter into a platformer played from a first-person perspective. The objective of this game mode is quite simple. Players must reach the maximum height on the map before the timer runs out.
However, it isn't your traditional three-lane map that Call of Duty players are used to. In this mode, all players begin at the starting line and must rush through a synth-wave map with varied terrain and obstacles along the way.
Players must use all the available movement mechanics, including diving, sliding, jumping, ledge hanging, and more to traverse through hurdles in this map that is specifically designed for this mode.
But it isn't just other players or hurdles that can slow you down. If not careful, players can fall off the map and will be forced to start from their last checkpoint. Simply put, this game mode is all about movement, and the one who has mastered the movement mechanics is certain to win.
Needless to say, since this is a parkour mode, it doesn't involve players shooting at each other but rather getting to the top by traversing the map. The final score is measured by the height one has climbed and the one who has the highest score within the given time wins the match.
It gives players a much-needed break from all the shooting and can be a different way to enjoy MW3 Multiplayer.
That covers everything about the return of fan-favorite Parkour mode, G3T_H1GH, in MW3. Be it for players who are new or returning, you won't have to wait for long as the mode will return in Season 4 Reloaded, which is currently scheduled to go live on June 26, 2024, at 9 am PT.
