Adding friends on Warzone and MW3 can be confusing, but if you know where to look, it's easy to do within the game. While you can play these titles solo, the full gaming experience is best enjoyed with friends. Playing with friends allows for better strategies, effective communication, and an overall elevated experience. Both Warzone and MW3 have a dedicated Social feature for adding friends, which can be a bit complicated.
This article will simplify the process of how to add friends in both titles, regardless of the platform.
Guide to adding friends in Warzone and MW3
You won't directly find the option "Add Friends" within the menu. You must use the Social feature to do so. Follow these steps to add friends in Warzone and MW3:
- Launch COD HQ.
- In the menu, look for the Social option at the top right corner. Alternatively, you can open the Social drop-down menu by pressing F2 on PC or R3 on PlayStation and Xbox.
- At the bottom of the drop-down menu, find and click on the Expand Social option.
- This will open the Social menu in fullscreen. Here, you will find the Add Friends option. Select it, type in your friend's Activision ID in the first text box, and click Send Request.
This will send a friend request to your friend. If you receive a friend request, follow the same process, but instead of Add Friends, click on the View Request option beside it. This will show you any pending requests, which you can either accept or decline.
How to find your Activision ID in Warzone and MW3
An Activision ID is required to add friends. Each player has a unique ID that identifies them in the system. To find your Activision ID and share it with others for friend requests, follow these steps:
- Launch COD HQ
- Head to the Settings option, and select Account & Network.
- Click on Activision Account under the Online section.
- Select Show Details to view your Activision ID, or click the "+" next to your ID to copy and share it with friends.
