The "Get 30 Operator Longshot Kills" weekly challenge in MW3 is a part of the Season 5 Week 1 challenges. Although it is straightforward on paper, getting it done can be a little tough. One of the reasons players face issues is that they are unaware of the distances at which a kill is considered a Longshot. Moreover, with most of the maps in the game being smaller, getting those Longshots is not always that easy.

However, with the right strategy, Modern Warfare 3 players can complete this challenge, even on the Small Maps Mosh Pit, which combines the smallest maps in the shooter.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how you can easily complete the "Get 30 Operator Longshot Kills" weekly challenge in MW3:

First, pick the right weapon for the task. Since the challenge does not specify any particular weapon, it is recommended to use a Handgun, especially the Renetti. Handguns have the lowest distance requirement for a kill to count as a Longshot, second only to Shotguns.
Next, build a loadout for the Renetti using the JAK Ferocity Carbine Kit. This will allow you to equip the XTEN Angel-40 Optic, which shows the distance at which a target is. Along with the above attachments, use Sonic Suppressor XS, High Grain Rounds, and Kimura Ryn-03 Vertical Grip for the best results.
Now, head over to the Hardcore playlist filter and opt out of every mode except the Small Maps Mosh Pit.
Join a game of Hardcore Small Maps Moshpit. Since the Hardcore mode lowers a player's HP to 30, you will be getting one-shot kills even with a Handgun. This makes getting those Longshots extremely easy.
For a kill to count as a Longshot with a Handgun, your target must be at least 20m away from you. Use the XTEN Angel-40 Optic to position yourself properly so that you can get the range right and you can easily get the Longshots with just one to two shots.

If you follow the above steps, you will finish the challenge in a single game. There are a couple of other strategies you can implement, such as playing Ground War or the War Mode, but this is by far the easiest and the fastest way to complete the task in MW3.
