The Haunting event is back in MW3 and Warzone Season 6, with jump scares being one of its signature features. They can occur at any time, especially when you're opening crates. While jump scares do bring a thrilling twist to the gameplay experience, not everyone is fond of these surprises.
Fortunately, you can disable jump scares.
How to turn off jump scares in Warzone and MW3
After downloading the Season 6 update and launching MW3 or Warzone, you will be greeted with a prompt that says jump scares are a part of The Haunting and will be there for all of Season 6. Thus, you can turn on or off the feature early on in the game.

If you turned it on but have had enough of this feature, the games have an option to alter the setting.
Here’s how to do so:
- While in the main lobby, click on the Settings tab in the top-right corner.
- At the top of the settings screen, look for the Accessibility Presets option. This is where you can adjust key gameplay features, such as jump scares.
- In the Accessibility Presets menu, look for the Disable Jump Scares option.
- Turn it off to disable the feature. This will stop jump scares from occurring during your gameplay.
- You can also re-enable the option if you want it back.
That covers everything you need to know to disable jump scares in MW3 and Warzone.
