Frenzied Guard is a Field Upgrade in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies. Using this Field Upgrade will attract zombies toward you and make them attack you. While that might seem counterintuitive at first glance, there's a catch that makes it so sought after. Right after you use it, the Field Upgrade will grant you full armor. Moreover, as you get zombie kills, your armor will automatically repair, keeping you in the fight for a long time.

How to get the Frenzied Guard Field Upgrade in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies

Here's how you can get the Frenzied Guard Field Upgrade in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies:

First, you must reach Level 9 in the game. You can get there quickly by completing missions, contracts, Infected Strongholds, Aether Nests, and more. This will unlock the Field Upgrade.
Then, before heading into your next match, open the 'Gear' menu.
Here, you can customize your loadout. Find the 'Field Upgrade' slot at the bottom right corner of your screen and open it.
Equip the Frenzied Guard Field Upgrade.

That's it. To try the Field Upgrade, infiltrate Urzikstan and use it once it is charged up. Doing so will attract all nearby zombies for 10 seconds and you will instantly get full armor. As you mow them down, your armor will repair itself.

However, it has a cooldown period. That said, you can always get more zombie kills to recharge it faster and use it again.

It is extremely powerful and has its uses in Zombies. In fact, in the MW3 Zombies Season 4 Week 4 challenges, one of the tasks requires you to get 50 Melee Kills while the Frenzied Guard is active in exchange for a whopping 7500 XP reward.

Moreover, in the Act 1 Tier 5 mission "Bring Em On," you are asked to get 50 kills with the Field Upgrade active to earn rewards. Hence, the Field Upgrade is invaluable in the game and is especially useful in dire situations when you are out of armor plates and are surrounded by enemies.
