How to get Game Over camo in MW3 and Warzone for free

Fans of old-school game aesthetics will dig the new Game Over camo in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. The new animated camo features an explosive 8-bit graphic design that can be used across all weapon types. This free cosmetic was launched on June 26, 2024, and is unlockable via the Retro Warfare event.

The event allows players to obtain 8-bit-themed cosmetics, from calling cards and decals to camos and weapon blueprints. If you are looking forward to getting your hands on the Game Over camo, keep reading.

How to unlock the Game Over camo in MW3 and Warzone for free

The Game Over camo in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone is one of the rewards that players can get for free in the Retro Warfare event. To unlock it, you need to play matches across any mode and acquire 400,000 XP.

While this can be an intimidating amount of XP to obtain, you can use some tricks to help you get the job done quickly. You may want to take advantage of the Weekly Challenges that have just been refreshed, which offer extra XP when completed. All you need to do is complete several challenges across different game modes (Multiplayer, Battle Royale, and Zombies) to gain XP.

If you are willing to drop some cash or just happen to find 8-bit cosmetic packs interesting, you can purchase the event-exclusive bundles from the in-game store. You can equip the 8-Bit Blitz Tracer Pack which costs 3,000 Call of Duty points and features Operator skins for Ghost, Price, Soap, and Farah.

Equipping these skins in-game grants a 5,000 XP bonus per match, allowing you to easily hit your XP goal. Note that you can only redeem the reward throughout the event duration which ends on July 4, 2024.
