The AK-74 is currently one of the best weapons in Warzone Season 1 Reloaded. A big reason for its recent popularity is its time to kill, which stands at only 914ms at up to 71 meters. At close and medium ranges — up to 40 meters — it still boasts an impressive TTK of 736ms. This stat alone makes the weapon extremely overpowered in the game. In fact, content creator WhosImmortal called it "utterly absurd".
In one of his recent videos, the content creator compared several Assault Rifles in the game. After comparing the Assault Rifle with the likes of the AS VAL, XM4, AMES 85, and more, he concluded that with the right attachments, nothing beats the AK-74 when it comes to TTK and performance at range in Warzone.
Hence, in this article, we'll take a closer look at the best AK-74 loadout in Warzone as recommended by WhosImmortal.
WhosImmortal's best AK-74 loadout in Warzone Season 1 Reloaded
WhosImmortal recommends using the following attachments to build the best AK-74 loadout in Warzone Season 1 Reloaded:
- Optic: Jason Armory 2X
- Muzzle: Suppressor
- Barrel: Gain-Twist Barrel
- Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
- Magazine: Extended Mag II
- Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip
- Stock: Balanced Stock
- Fire Mods: 5.45x39MM Overpressured
Do note that to be able to use this loadout, you must have the Gunfighter Wildcard equipped. Here's how these attachments affect the AK-74:
The Jason Armory 2X is a clean and precise optical sight in the game. While the optic's minimal design allows you to see your targets clearly at mid ranges, it can also be used for long-range encounters. Considering the gun's fast TTK at long ranges, the Jason Armory 2X is an ideal pick.

The Suppressor will keep you off the radar while firing the gun. On top of that, it helps reduce a lot of the visual recoil on the Assault Rifle. This helps you to see your opponents clearly while shooting and at the same time will keep you safe from nearby enemies.
The Gain-Twist Barrel drastically increases the gun's bullet velocity. If you intend to engage in medium or long ranges with the AK-74, you cannot go wrong with the barrel. It turns the gun into a hit scan machine, essentially getting rid of the need to lead your shots to hit a moving target at longer ranges.
The Vertical Foregrip helps counter horizontal recoil, which is much more difficult to control manually. The vertical recoil of any weapon can be mitigated to an extent by pulling down the controller stick or your mouse. However, the horizontal recoil is unpredictable and since the AK-74 has a high base recoil, you simply cannot afford to not use it.
Extended Mag II ensures that you don't run out of bullets in the middle of a fight. It increases the bullet count per magazine from 30 to 50, giving you ample bullets to take on multiple enemies without having to reload.
The Ergonomic Grip greatly enhances the aim down sight speed, allowing you to get into a fight quicker. It also boosts the dive to fire speed and slide to fire speed.
The Balanced Stock helps with mobility and handling. It boosts your aim walking speed, movement speed, hipfire movement speed, and strafing movement speed. These improvements not only make you faster on the battlefield but also a difficult target to hit.

Finally, the 5.45x39MM Overpressured rounds. These special bullets increase the AK-74's bullet velocity. This along with the Gain Twist Barrel, boosts the weapon's bullet velocity by a whopping 68% — from 725 m/s to 1218 m/s.
That covers everything you need to know about building WhosImmortal's best AK-74 loadout in WZ Season 1 Reloaded.
