The Arcade playlist will return Season 6 of Modern Warfare 3 with four other game modes. This playlist brings a unique twist to traditional gameplay modes like Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Hardpoint by enhancing abilities, power weapons, and special events. Arcade modes have provided a unique way to experience MW3 for gamers.
In this article, we will look into details on how to play Arcade in Modern Warfare 3.
How can you play Arcade in Modern Warfare 3?
Here are the steps you need to follow to play Arcade in Modern Warfare 3:
- First, make sure Modern Warfare 3 is downloaded with the latest update.
- Launch the game and head over to the Arcade playlist.
- Select from the variety of maps and game modes you can choose from to enjoy the Arcade playlist.
The Arcade playlist in Modern Warfare 3 combines classic multiplayer modes like Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Hardpoint with enhanced operator abilities, power weapons, and game-changing power-ups.
Arcade can be played on a specific set of maps. The mode introduces a unique mechanic where in-game events are dictated by a timer. This timer refreshes weapon spawns and power-ups, ensuring dynamic and fast-paced gameplay throughout the match.

Weapon spawn locations, identified by a white light, cycle through a pre-set pool of weapons which includes the Sledgehammer (which has a serious knockback impact) and the exploding MORS Sniper Rifle. You need to be strategic in capturing these weapon spawns, as obtaining these power weapons can give them a crucial advantage on the battlefield.
Additionally, when you die, there’s a chance of dropping power-ups, such as unlimited magazine ammo or unlimited frag grenades. These power-ups only last until the next timer cycle, making them short-lived but highly impactful when used at the right moment.
Operators in Arcade are also equipped with various enhanced abilities like increased jump height, enabling them to leap over obstacles and reach elevated positions with ease. Another key ability is the Ground Slam, where you can smash into the ground from above, dealing damage to nearby enemies.
You can also activate the Forcefield ability, which generates a transparent bubble around you that absorbs incoming bullets until it breaks after taking too much damage.
The in-game timer plays a significant role in pacing the matches. Every few minutes, new weapons spawn across the map and players rush to loot them. Power-ups also add another layer of strategy as you have to decide when to pick them up and how best to use them before the next refresh.
