Black Ops 6 has a revamped loadout and customization system in Zombies mode, which allows you to pick a starting weapon, add custom attachments, and even customize wall-buy weapons. So, any weapon you purchase off the wall during a match will come with your preferred attachments, saving time and letting you consistently use weapons that suit your playstyle and needs. It also lets you carry your favorite configurations from Multiplayer over to Zombies.
In this article, we will cover how to set up and use Zombie Builds in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
How to set up Zombie Builds in Black Ops 6 Zombies
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to set up and save Zombie Builds in Black Ops 6 Zombies:
- Click on the Weapons tab in the main Zombies menu, and select Loadouts.
- In the Loadouts section, select the weapon you want to customize.
- Add your desired skins and attachments; if you have saved global builds for this weapon in Multiplayer, you can apply them directly here.
- Once you have your build ready, look for the option to set it up as a Zombie Build.
- If you are a PC user, press 1. Press L2/LT if you are on a controller.
- After the build is assigned, a red "Z" icon will appear next to the build, indicating that it’s been saved specifically for Zombies.
If you prefer upgraded weapons, Zombie Builds can also be accessed through wall buys or the Mystery Box. If you acquire a weapon from either of these sources and have a Zombie Build set for that weapon, it will come equipped with your custom attachments.
Since you can only bring one weapon via loadout, the Zombie Build system is ideal for securing a powerful secondary weapon later in the game. You can use wall buys or the Mystery Box to obtain higher-rarity versions of your favorite weapons. You should consider keeping your heavier weapons for later, so you can focus on a high-damage, high-rarity weapon as your secondary once you have the points to buy one from the wall or Mystery Box.

Each attachment has trade-offs, so experiment with them to find the best setup for you in Zombies. For crowd control, the attachments that boost magazine size and reload speed can be crucial. For boss fights, you should focus on damage enhancements.
You can keep returning to the customization menu to update your builds as you unlock new attachments or find new weapons that fit your playstyle.
