Follow the undermentioned steps to sign out of your Activision account in MW3:

First, head over to profile.callofduty.com.
Then, log in using your Activision ID and Password. If you've Two Factor Authentication turned on, it will ask for a code. Enter the 2FA code to proceed.
Now, select 'Account linking' from the left panel.
Under 'Gaming Networks', find the platform you play MW3 on.
Select 'Unlink'.
Click 'Send code' in the next window. To verify that the unliking is intended by the owner of the account, a code will be sent to the registered email ID.
Open your registered email account and find the mail from Call of Duty with the title 'Call of Duty Account Verification Code'.
Copy the code and paste it into the box on Call of Duty's website.
Click 'Submit'.

That's it. Your ATVI account will now no longer be linked with the platform you play Modern Warfare 3 on. If you wish to change your Activision account, launch MW3 and enter the new credentials.

Please note that all your progression and the in-game items you purchased will no longer be available in the game. You will have to re-link the account to get all those items back in that particular platform, which thankfully, is an option.
