Crossplay in Black Ops 6 allows players from different platforms to play in the same lobby. Introduced to the franchise with Modern Warfare (2019), this feature has now made its way to the latest Call of Duty game. Crossplay allows friends on any platform to play together. So for instance, if you buy the game on the Xbox Series X and your friends are on PlayStation 5, you can play together in the same match, which was previously not possible.

However, crossplay also introduces a few problems. For instance, players on PC can now play with console users. The problem here is that PC players will often use a mouse and keyboard, which provides superior aiming capabilities over controller players on the console. This creates a skill gap that's hard to overcome.

Moreover, there's the issue of cheaters on Windows PC, which aren't prevalent on consoles as much. Hence, many players would prefer to turn off the feature in the game. In this guide, we will take a closer look at how you can turn off crossplay on platforms for Black Ops 6.
