Equipping two primary weapons in MW3 is pretty simple. With the recent wave of players joining the game after its addition to the Xbox Game Pass, one of the most frequently posed questions from newcomers is how to equip two primary weapons to their loadouts. By default, you can only equip a primary weapon and a pistol, a melee weapon, or a launcher as their secondary.
Hence, if you want to equip a Submachine Gun and a Marksman Rifle in the same loadout, it isn't possible directly. However, some perks will allow you to equip two primary weapons simultaneously.
In this brief guide, we'll take a look at how you can have two primary weapons in MW3.
How to equip two primary weapons in MW3
To equip two primary weapons in MW3, you must use the Gunners Vest Perk or the Overkill Vest Perk. The Gunners Vest can be unlocked by reaching Level 20. On the other hand, the Overkill Vest is unlocked at Level 50. Both Vest Perks have unique features.
However, before we discuss the features of both Perks, let's discuss how you can equip these Perks to your loadout:
- First, head over to your 'Weapons' tab and select 'Multiplayer Loadout'.
- Select the Loadout you wish to add these Perks.
- Right above your weapons, select the 'Vest' section. By default, the 'Infantry Vest' will be equipped.
- Here, you can choose from all the different types of Vests available in MW3. Select 'Gunners Vest' or 'Overkill Vest'.
That's it! You will now be able to able to equip two primary weapons in Modern Warfare 3. For more information on these Vest Perks, check out the section below.
