How to unlock the Mercury Camo in MW3 and Warzone

Although unlocking the Mercury Camo in MW3 and Warzone is straightforward, it can be quite time-consuming. It's the new Season 5 Prestige Camo, and as one would guess, it is completely animated and looks stunning. Mercury is the third Prestige Camo to join the shooters, and needless to say, players will work hard to acquire it.

Here's how you can unlock the Mercury Camo in MW3 and Warzone.

How to get the Mercury Camo in MW3 and Warzone?

To unlock the Mercury Camo in MW3 and Warzone, you must acquire 600,000 Weapon XP using the weapon you are looking to unlock the Camo for. However, if you have already unlocked the previous two Weapon Prestige Camos in the games, you will only need to earn an additional 250,000 Weapon XP.

This step-by-step guide will help you unlock the Mercury Camo in MW3 and Warzone:

First, level up the weapon you're looking to unlock the Camo for to its maximum Weapon Level. For instance, to unlock the Mercury Camo for the MCW, level up the MCW to Weapon Level 28.
Next, use the weapon and earn 150,000 XP. Doing so will unlock the first Prestige Camo: One Trick.
Then, earn an additional 200,000 XP to unlock the second Prestige Camo: Molten Obsidian.
Finally, earn an additional 250,000 XP using the same weapon to unlock the Mercury Camo.

As surmised from these steps, if you haven't already unlocked the One Trick and Molten Obsidian Camos, you'll have to earn a total of 600,000 XP after leveling up the weapon to its maximum Weapon Level. This will be a long grind.

Take advantage of all the Double XP weekends and use the Double Weapon XP Tokens to unlock the Mercury Camo in MW3 and Warzone as early as possible. You can also hop into Zombies, Plunder, or Lockdown Quads to fast-track the unlocking process as these game modes can award players with a host of Weapon XP in a relatively shorter time.

Note that the Mercury Camo must be unlocked on a per-weapon basis. Moreover, it can be unlocked for all the weapons in the games individually, including the Melee Weapons and Launchers. Anothjer point worth noting is that you don't have to unlock the Camo in Season 5 itself and you can keep grinding for it even after the Season ends. Furthermore, you can unlock the Camo for both MW3 and MW2 weapons.
