The Royal Helix is a free universal camo you can acquire in Warzone by completing some specific challenges. With Season 4, the battle royale game introduced a new feature called Warzone Rewards, which offers a series of tasks exclusive to WZ players. You can earn four exclusive camos through these challenges, with the Royal Helix being the most beautiful among them.

This guide will outline how you can unlock this item for free in Warzone.

How to get the Royal Helix glowing camo for free in Warzone

The Royal Helix camo is free but requires a significant investment of time and dedication to get. CoD Warzone Rewards consists of four categories: Economies, Contracts, Social, and Mode. Each of these contains four challenges; you unlock each task by completing the previous one.

The Royal Helix camo is the reward for completing the fourth and final challenge in Mode. The other three tasks in this category also grant you rewards. To obtain the camo, you must complete all challenges in the Mode category, as each task must be completed to unlock the next.

The first challenge requires you to complete 10 games of Warzone in any available mode. To accomplish this objective quickly, you can simply enter a mode, die willingly at the beginning, and start another game. Repeat this process 10 times. After the task is completed, you will receive the Icon of Honor emblem.

The second challenge was initially to deposit 500k in a single Plunder match, but it was glitched, preventing players from progressing. This issue has been fixed, and the task has been replaced with a new one: Complete 20 Plunder matches.

Enter a Plunder match, die instantly, and start a new game. Do this 20 times, which should be enough to accomplish this challenge. After that, you will receive the calling card named We’re Gonna Need a Bigger Chopper.

The third task requires you to reduce 500 seconds of respawn time in Resurgence. This challenge is more difficult than the previous ones. One method to accumulate 500 seconds includes finding and opening crates the moment an ally dies. Another one involves gathering enough cash to buy armor plates from a buy station as soon as a teammate is killed.

These two methods will help you complete the third challenge, although it will take time. After accomplishing the task, you will receive the Catastrophe Weapon Sticker.

The final challenge requires you to reach the top 10 without entering the Gulag in 20 Battle Royale matches. This is the most difficult task and can take hours or days of grinding. There is no trick; you simply need to stay alive without dying and reach the top 10 in 20 games. The best strategy is to camp and use loadouts with a riot shield and an Akimbo build SMG.

Additionally, you can play the Buy Back mode, which doesn't have the Gulag. After completing this challenge, you will receive the Royal Helix glowing camo in Warzone.
