Steps to unlock Mustang & Sally

1. Unlock the GS45 handgun by reaching account level 28.
2. Level up the GS45 to level 31 to unlock the Akimbo attachment.
3. Customize your loadout by equipping the GS45 with the Akimbo attachment.
4. Enter a game on either Liberty Falls or Terminus Island.
5. Pack-a-Punch the GS45 to level 1 by spending 5,000 Essence.

To unlock the GS45, you must level up your account to level 28. Once unlocked, you can equip it in your loadout before starting a game. However, unlocking the handgun alone won’t be enough—you’ll also need to unlock the Akimbo attachment, which becomes available when the GS45 reaches Weapon Level 31.

If you haven’t reached Account Level 28 yet, there’s no need to worry. When you spawn in Liberty Falls or Terminus Island, you’ll find a Weapon Wall Buy nearby that offers the GS45 handgun. You can purchase it from there and use it. It may be challenging initially. Once you’ve collected enough Essence, head to the Pack-a-Punch machine to upgrade the GS45 and this will transform it into Sally, giving the weapon explosive rounds that can deal massive damage.

However, be sure to drink the PhD Flopper Perk-a-Cola to avoid taking damage from your own explosions or fall damage, as Sally’s explosive shots can hurt you if fired at close range. With the PhD Flopper active, you can wield Sally more safely and blast through rounds by one-shotting multiple enemies at once. Even using only Sally (without dual-wield) is destructive enough to help you survive higher rounds while leveling both your weapon and your account. This way, by the time you hit Account Level 28, your GS45 will likely be high enough to unlock the Akimbo attachment.

Once you’ve reached Account Level 28 and unlocked the Akimbo attachment at Weapon Level 31, equip the GS45 handgun with Akimbo in your loadout and launch a new Zombies game.
