This item is part of a limited-time mode called G3T_H1GH3R, a revamped version of the popular parkour mode G3T_HIGH. You can acquire three exclusive camos — Gridlocked, Shifting Grid, and Synth Bust — by meeting specific criteria for each.

The Shifting Grid animated camo features green grids that move around the weapon, creating a striking visual effect. This guide will provide the procedure for acquiring this free item in Modern Warfare 3.

How to get the Shifting Grid animated camo for free in Modern Warfare 3

To obtain the Shifting Grid animated camo, you need to play the G3T_H1GH3R mode and complete your run in under 10 minutes.

This mode features parkour-style gameplay where you race against other players, aiming to reach maximum elevation through a predetermined path while overcoming various difficult obstacles. You need to maintain your composure, timing, and movement accuracy in this mode.

You'll hit checkpoints after each major obstacle. If you fall off the map, you won't have to start from the beginning; instead, you'll respawn at the last checkpoint you crossed. You have a time limit of 15 minutes to complete the run. If you manage to finish in under 10 minutes, you will receive the Shifting Grid animated camo.

This is not an easy task, and you may need to try multiple times to achieve the feat. The best approach is to take your time and play G3T_H1GH3R a few times to familiarize yourself with the route.

How to get the Gridlock camo and Synth-Bust animated camo in Modern Warfare 3

The Gridlock camo is not animated and is the easiest to acquire. You simply need to complete the run before the 15-minute mark.

On the other hand, the Synth-Bust animated camo is the most difficult to obtain, requiring you to collect 12 hidden coins across the G3T_H1GH3R mode's map, all in one go.

The camos were initially bugged, preventing players from unlocking them even after meeting the criteria. However, the developers have since addressed the issue and recently updated via their X handle that the problem has been fixed. Now, players can grind to acquire all three camos once the criteria are met.
