The Infected mode in Black Ops 6 is now live after the debut of the recent update in the game. Currently, this mode is available on 12 Multiplayer maps with the capacity of six teams of 24 players each. Players can easily enter this mode by navigating to the Quick Play option in-game.

This article explains everything about the new Infected mode in Black Ops 6.

How to play Infected mode in Black Ops 6

The Infected mode in Black Ops 6 is very engaging and offers a new path for the Zombie's gameplay. This mode divides players into two teams: Survivors and the Infected. At the beginning of each round, a 15-second "Infection Occurs" timer appears. Once the countdown stops, players are randomly assigned to either of the two teams.

The objective is very simple: the Infected players have to attack the Survivors and make them Infected, while the Survivors must protect themselves from the Infected ones until the round ends. If there are more Survivors than Infected players at the end of a round, then the Survivor team wins, and vice versa.

Survivors will get weapons to fend off the Infected one and to save themself from their hand. In contrast, the Infected players will only get melee weapons, which they can use to Infect the Survivors.

When the Survivor players get hit by an Infected player, they become Infected. On the other hand, when the Infected players are attacked by the Survivor players, they respawn within a second making it more challenging.

Moreover, as announced by Activision in the recent Warzone and Black Ops 6 Season 1 update, the Nuketown will be featured in this title from November 1, 2024. Hence, players can expect to see the same mode for Nuketown in the coming months.
