Black Ops 6 is coming later this year but it will offer early access to its Beta before the main launch. In recent years, players on PlayStation have received exclusive Beta access ahead of other platform users. However, there's not going to be a special treatment this time for PS5 and PS4 owners. There won't be any exclusive Early Beta access to Black Ops 6 for PlayStation players.

In the past, Call of Duty publisher Activision and Sony had a deal in which PlayStation consoles used to get special and exclusive content based on new FPS premium games in the franchise. For example, there used to be exclusive Operator bundles for PS5/PS4 users which weren't available to players on Xbox or PCs for the entire duration of an exclusivity period.

The same was true with Betas for any new Call of Duty title. PlayStation owners used to get Beta access before players on other platforms. This trend continued till last year when Modern Warfare 3's Beta was first made available on PS5/PS4 consoles for a duration of certain days. After that period, other platform users were able to access the Beta.

BO6 is eventually going to change this trend in 2024, thanks to Activision's acquisition by Microsoft last year. Before the deal even closed, Microsoft's Gaming CEO Phil Spencer had made it clear that content based on future CoD games would be available simultaneously to all players on all supported platforms and at the same time. There's not going to be any special treatment for users of a specific platform.

Simply put, Black Ops 6 won't have any exclusive Early Beta access on PlayStation. The Beta will be available for all devices on the same day. Players on PS5/PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PCs will get to enjoy Black Ops 6 Beta together without having to wait for it.
