Search and Destroy is a round-based game mode where every player gets only one life. The teams are equally divided into two sides where one has to defend the marked Points of Interest (POIs) and the other needs to attack. However, the mode gets more complex as the attacker has to plant a bomb on either POI and deter the defenders from defusing it.

If one team completely wipes out the enemy side, they take the round win. However, if the defender side manages to prevent a bomb plant, they take the round. Once the bomb is planted, failure to defuse it results in the attacker’s victory. Both teams play on each side for a limited number of rounds and usually consist of players in different roles (assault rifler, sniper, shotgunner, and more)

It is a slow-paced mode requiring immense patience and game sense to counter every enemy move and may not appeal to the casuals. Search and Destroy can bring out a player's potential in the most challenging scenarios and, hence, is a reserved competitive mode.
