Call of Duty content creator and streamer JGOD offered a response to the removal of the gas mask animation in the MW3 and Warzone Season 5 update. The animation, which blurred players' fields of view, was often a hindrance. This change has sparked a lively discussion in the gaming community, with players and content creators expressing their satisfaction.
Commending the latest Warzone update for removing the gas mask animation, @JGODYT posted:
"It only took 4 years and 3 months, but it has finally happened in Warzone hahahaha."

One user, @TheARESxGOD expressed their concern regarding developer support for MW3 and Warzone, highlighting how the team took a long time to remove the gas mask animation. They feel the studio behind the game takes "years" to solve issues.
User @travis311 explained how things were during Vanguard's integration into Warzone when the gas mask animation was a serious problem. It used to ruin the player's FOV and made it difficult to spot enemies in the end zones.

Another individual, @_Chuck., feels the developers make such changes to CoD titles only when 'they're about to go away'. The user said:
"Just like every year, they make great updates to the game the second it’s about to go away. Hopefully, there is a significant player count loss from CFB25 that drives them to actually care for once."
User @Spy_C_Potato stated the fix came "way too late" since they've already moved on to other titles. They feel Warzone still has issues that need to be fixed before gamers can return.
The user also mentioned other issues like the netcode bug that is being ignored by the developers at Activision.
Gas mask bug is fixed in Warzone Season 5
The gas mask overlay bug has been fixed in the Warzone Season 5 update. This means players can now enjoy the gameplay without constantly managing their gas masks, as the animation no longer puts them at a disadvantage.
Streamer and content creator JGOD offered his response to this fix after the release of the Season 5 patch notes. While the gas mask animation has been taken care of, issues like the anti-cheat bug and net code concerns still need attention. Players are urged to join discussions and report bugs regularly, as their input is vital in helping developers tackle and solve these problems.
