With the recent collaboration between Call of Duty and Squid Game 2, a bunch of new content has been introduced to Black Ops 6 and Warzone, particularly in the form of cosmetics. Three bundles are part of this crossover, with one already in the shop and the other two scheduled for release as the event progresses.

Players have expressed frustration over the current bundle, priced at 2,800 Call of Duty Points (CP), with Reddit user mcharb13 voicing their displeasure, commenting:

"Maybe don’t spend your money on this s**t. It’s always the same thing…"

This article will explore the reasons behind players' frustration with the Squid Game-themed bundle in Warzone and Black Ops 6.

Reasons why players are frustrated with Squid Game 2 operator prices in Black Ops 6 and Warzone

The Squid Game 2 Pink Guards Tracer Pack was recently released, with a price tag of 2,800 CP. This bundle is themed around the iconic pink-clad guards from the series, who wear distinctive masks with different shapes, such as squares, triangles, and circles. It includes three new Operator skins, each featuring the same design, with the only difference being the shape drawn on their masks.

Players have expressed frustration over the high price, as this bundle is more expensive than standard premium bundles but lacks special features like Mastercraft animations or effects. Instead, it only includes three Operator skins that look nearly identical. What further adds to the frustration is that, despite the three Operators, they all belong to the same faction, Crimson One. This means players won’t be able to use them on the opposite faction, Rogue Black Ops, limiting their options.

Many players are also voicing their disappointment by saying that, rather than expensive cosmetic bundles, they would prefer to pay for better lobbies without cheaters, as well as unique game modes and other improvements.

Conclusion

While players’ frustration is understandable, it’s worth considering that having all three Operators with the same design might have caused confusion if they were available for both factions. Additionally, introducing a different Operator could have disrupted the theme of the Pink Guards.

That said, the 2,800 CP price point feels unjustified, given the lack of substantial content. 2,400 CP might have been more appropriate. Since all three Operators are nearly identical, only differing in the shape drawn on their masks, the additional 400 CP seems unjustified.
