Some leaked Black Ops 6 gameplay showcasing a third-person mod has surfaced online. In the short clip, players can be seen taking advantage of Omnimovement in the upcoming Call of Duty title and using a mod to get the camera to shift to the third-person mode essentially replicating the gameplay of Rockstar Games' classic hit series Max Payne.
In this brief article, we'll take a closer look at the leaked BO6 gameplay using the third-person mod.
Black Ops 6 modded to replicate Max Payne's gameplay
Surprisingly, even before an official release, players have modded Black Ops 6 to replicate the iconic gameplay of Max Payne. As mentioned earlier, a clip recently surfaced online where players were seen experiencing the upcoming Call of Duty title in third-person mode with the help of mods.
Meanwhile, the movement, named "Omnimovement," is a part of BO6 itself and one of the major highlights of the upcoming shooter. In the clip, the player can be seen diving sideways while shooting at enemies, just like Max Payne but without the bullet-time effects.

So how did this all come about? Well, recently, a build of Black Ops 6 Open Beta was leaked online for the PS4. This allowed players to modify it and play it on jailbroken PS4 systems. In fact, one could even access the online mode using third-party tools.
Having access to the files with no DRM in place, allowed players to modify them. This resulted in the third-person mod as showcased in the clip.
Using the third-person mod in combination with the new Omnimovement feature in Black Ops 6, players were easily able to replicate the gameplay from Max Payne. They could shoot mid-air while diving sideways just like what one would expect in the Rockstar Games title.
However, Call of Duty boasts faster gameplay and this allowed the player in the clip to go absolutely haywire, as they recreated Max Payne's gameplay on a different level altogether.

That said, don't expect the final build to feature a third-person mode yet. At the time of writing, there is no official word on a third-person playlist for the title. What you see in the clip is a mod built for a leaked build and it is highly likely that this mod won't be allowed in the game when it officially releases.
Call of Duty's stance on third-party mods at this point is pretty clear considering the recent fiasco with the H2 Mod, where they shut down the developers for trying to provide fans with a compelling and classic CoD experience.
