Modern Warfare 2 and other AAA games are free to play for a limited time

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, NBA 2K24, and Helldivers 2 will be available for free during the upcoming Free Online Multiplayer Weekend, starting on June 22, 2024, and ending on June 23, 2024.

This offer is available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles for a day. However, to avail this offer you need to have purchased a PlayStation Plus membership, which is similar to the Xbox Game Pass.

Here's how to get a PS Plus membership if you don't already have one.:

• Select the PS Plus logo, click on Join PlayStation Plus on the function screen, and then complete the purchase.
• After completing the payment, the PS Plus logo will appear on the profile screen. It also appears next to features available exclusive to PS Plus members and on content from the PlayStation Store.

Players can download Modern Warfare 2 and other AAA games from the PS5 Store once the Free Online Multiplayer Weekend starts. They will have access to all game content, including online services, which makes this event worthwhile. To access this service, players must create a PSN account, which is only available in select regions.

Players should be aware that the PS Plus service automatically renews at the end of the subscription period. To turn off automatic renewals, users should go to Settings > Manage Account > Account Details > PlayStation Subscriptions and then select Disable Auto-Renew.
