Each season delivers two waves of content: one when the new season goes live, and another during the mid-season update. As with previous updates, this mid-season update will make the title even more interesting and engaging, providing players with new elements to explore.

1) New maps

One new 6v6 core map will be added with this update:

Incline

The new Incline map is a mid-sized battlefield set in the mountains of Urzikstan, featuring a research outpost and transit facility. This snowy terrain offers diverse combat scenarios, allowing players to engage on the open snow-covered ground or take cover within various outbuildings. Numerous climbing spots provide opportunities to outmaneuver opponents. However, be cautious of the map's edge, as falling off will result in instant death.

Two new map variants will also arrive with Season 4 Reloaded:

Bitvela

The Bitvela map is a pixel-art version of the Favela map, which will be part of the new Bit Party Playlist. This variant will be exciting to explore because of its vibrant colors and pixelated elements such as cars, buildings, and trees. It includes jagged clouds and box-like smoke particles, replicating the original map's essence, without a curved edge in sight.

Das Gross

The Das Gross map variant of Das Haus is set in downtown New York City, where the entire building is engulfed by an alien entity. Red tendrils wrap around the structure, transforming the landscape into a horrifying sight. Blood drips from the walls, and sharp, menacing teeth emerge from exposed muscle, making the map gruesomely fascinating due to its eerie atmosphere.

2) New modes

Five new modes are set to arrive with the mid-season update:

Mutation mode

The Mutation mode is an innovative multiplayer mode where two teams, one composed of humans and the other of mutants, engage in battle with a twist. The human team is equipped with regular weapon loadouts but enjoys increased ammunition and specific Killstreaks such as SAE, Remote Turret, and Juggernaut to aid them in combat against the mutants.

Conversely, mutants will not have any weapons, perks, or Field Upgrades but can choose from unique abilities and classes including Mutated Leaper, Radioactive Beast, Contaminated Sludger, and Camouflaged Sneaker, each offering three distinct advantages.

Teams switch sides at halftime, and the match is won by the team with the highest score.

Havoc

The Havoc mode is inspired by classic arena shooters, where gameplay dynamically changes with wild match modifiers that evolve based on score milestones. Gameplay alterations include features such as auto-reload after a kill, low gravity, and the advanced UAV always active, among eleven other modifiers. Throughout the match, nine of these modifiers will be activated, requiring players to adapt to shifting conditions. The team that reaches 75 points first wins.

Headshots Only

In this mode, as the name suggests, Headshots Only, the rules are straightforward: you can only inflict damage by landing precise headshots. Any form of body damage will not count, including throwables such as Throwing Knives and Throwing Stars, as well as explosives like grenades, which also must only inflict head damage.

Blueprint Gunflight

In the Blueprint Gunfight mode, players will have a compact selection of maps and use diverse Weapon Blueprints, even if they don't own any themselves, to enjoy the unique feel of these exciting loadouts for a limited time.

G3T_H1GH3R

The G3T_H1GH3R parkour mode has been revamped, with the G3T_H1GH mode becoming a fan favorite. This new version features a longer and more challenging parkour path to navigate, along with even more dangerous traps to increase the challenge. Successfully reaching the end will allow you to earn three new Weapon Camos.

3) Playlist Modifier

Bit Party is a new multiplayer Playlist Modifier featuring a unique gameplay mechanic: eliminating enemies causes your Operator's head to inflate, with sizes ranging from small to medium and large. If you die, your head resets to its small size. The larger your head grows, the more points you can score; however, it also becomes an easier target for opponents.

Each mode has specific actions that cause head inflation: eliminating enemies in Team Deathmatch, collecting tags in Kill Confirmed, and holding objectives in Hardpoint. In Domination, larger heads capture flags more quickly.

Those are all the additions coming with the Modern Warfare 3 Season 4 Reloaded update on June 26, 2024.
