All new game modes in Modern Warfare 3 Season 4 Reloaded explained
Four new modes will arrive with Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Season 4 Reloaded.
1) Mutation mode
This mode is part of the Altered Strain Event, where two teams will compete: one consisting of humans and the other of mutants. The human team will have regular Operators and weapons, but with increased ammunition and some Killstreaks to help them fight the mutants.
On the other hand, the mutant team will not have any weapons, perks, or Field Upgrades but will possess special abilities such as stunning, disorienting, and eliminating human enemies. Additionally, non-player-controlled mutants will be scattered around the battlefield to assist the player-controlled mutants.
Human team
The human team can acquire specific Killstreaks by earning points, which are awarded as follows:
- For every player-controlled mutant kill, you receive +1 Killstreak point.
- For every five non-player-controlled mutant kills, you receive +5 Killstreak points.
The three main Killstreaks and their required points are
- SAE: 6 points
- Remote Turret: 7 points
- Juggernaut: 15 points
Mutant team
The mutant team can choose from four classes, each with unique advantages:
- Mutated Leaper: These lethal mutants can become enraged, gaining faster movement, increased melee damage, and the ability to detect enemies around corners. They can toss a Snapshot Grenade to reveal foes and finish the job with a high-impact charged leap.
- Radioactive Beast: Half dog, half-demon, the Radioactive Beast charges their enemies, shellshocks opponents while improving the health and move speed of their allies with a howl, and can reveal nearby enemies on the minimap for their whole team.
- Contaminated Sludger: Capable of exploding in a large radius of mutant sludge. It can obscure the field with a Smoke Grenade and eject a strong acid blast that deals close-ranged damage and leaves pools of acid that hurt and slow the enemy.
- Camouflaged Sneaker: The ultimate stealth mutant can scramble toward the enemy with an electrified leap and disorient them with an EMP. During critical maneuvers, activate your cloak to become partially invisible for a brief time.
Additionally, if a player-controlled mutant eliminates multiple humans, it can transform into a Mutant Juggernaut.
Both teams will have equal opportunities, as they will switch sides at halftime. The team with the highest score at the end of the match wins.

2) Havoc
The Havoc is an innovative game mode inspired by classic arena-shooter gameplay, which keeps the mode dynamic with various wild match modifiers that change the traditional rules of Team Deathmatch.
There are 14 game modifiers, with each match having nine of these modifiers activated. The first five are randomly activated at the start of the match, and the remaining four are activated when the following score milestones are achieved: 12, 24, 36, and 48 eliminations.
The 14 modifiers are
- Ammo Feeder: Auto reload after you kill an enemy.
- Boots off the Ground: Low gravity.
- Camera Shift: Third-person mode.
- Chain Reaction: Sticky grenades launched on kill.
- Charged Up: Gain Cranked on kills.
- Equipment Restock: Equipment is refilled on kills.
- Eyes On: Advanced UAV is always active.
- Gun Runner: Random gun on kill.
- Hero Smash: Explosive landing from an elevated position.
- Hot Shot: Crossbows only, Molotov bolts.
- Lucky Three: Every three kills gives you a random Killstreak.
- One Tap: Headshots kill with one bullet.
- Snapshot Killer: Launch a snapshot grenade (and ping pulse) on kill.
- System Reroll (Fifth Modifier only): Full reroll of all active modifiers.
These ever-changing rules ensure each match offers a different approach to gunfights, making the mode exciting and offering players always new challenges to tackle.
3) Headshots Only
The name itself Headshot Only perfectly describes this mode. The rules are quite straightforward: it’s a Team Deathmatch with a twist where players can only deal damage by landing precise headshots. Any body shots will cause no damage.
This rule also applies to lethal equipment like Throwing Knives or Throwing Stars, and even grenades where only headshot damage will count. This mode is excellent for warm-ups and for practicing precise headshots.
4) Blueprint Gunfight
The Blueprint Gunfight mode features a compact selection of maps where players receive random loadouts with new Weapon Blueprints. Even if you don't own any blueprints, you'll still be able to enjoy the unique feel of these exciting loadouts for a limited time.
That covers everything about all the new modes players can enjoy with the Modern Warfare 3 Season 4 Reloaded update.
